Cammallanus need help!!

Hello everyone I just realized a few days ago that my community tank has contracted the dreaded camallanus worm. It is red thread like worm that is protuding in and out of the fish's vent region. I tried some Panacur (supposed to be very effective for this) which has fenbeniazole in it for 2 days but no success. The worms I are still alive and well. Did purchase medicated food made by jungle that has Levamisole as one of the active ingredients in it that I'm going to try next.

Have already lost one of my angels out of a breeding pair. Would like to find a medicaton or solution that works. Has anyone else had this problem before? More imoptantly does anyone out there have any experience in treating fot the parasite.

Any help at this point would be appreciated.

I dealt with it Before, and the best thing to get is Levamisole HCL (its a Pig wormer) anyways i try the Fembendazole on food and it doesn't work as good,

here is what a member of my local club post on how to convert.

Calculations

Convert your Gallons to liters

3.786 X Gallons = Liters
Liters x .0025 = Levamasole G (2.5 ppm)
Liters x .005 = g (5.0 ppm)


After i treated my cichlids 24hrs later i did a BIG Water Change in my 125gal about 90% of water went out i left enough for them to swim/breath.

Hello Juan, would you know how and where I could obtain the Levamisole Hydrocholride from. I tried the fenbendazole and no luck.

Thank you for all your help Juan. I just order it and I'm hoping to have it in the next few weeks since I live in Canada and it is coming from the States. I hope that my fish can hold out until it arrives.

I already lost a bunch of tetras, swordtails from the stress of medicating with fenbendiazole (panacur). Discus are looking very shabby as well lot's of mucous on them.
