Laetacara from "Cachoeira Do Arari"

Postby nicktc » Thu Jan 08, 2009 7:48 pm

Bought them with this 'Laetacara Cachoeira Do Arari' labelled on the bag.

These babies are at most an inch big.

Wonder if they are some kind of sp., dorsigera or curviceps?

Here are some pictures.

Look more like the Laeteacara sp. "buckelkopf" to me.

Hi

They are not definitely L. dorsigerus or L. curviceps. L. Buckelkopf is a possibility or then something similar.
Arethose Etroplus canariensis in the background of the last picture?

it is Laetacara species "buckelkopf" indeed. if they are 3" they won't grow much bigger. combining these with Etroplus canarensis is about the last thing i would do, waterwise.

Thanks Willem, will take note of the combination.

I always thought that they both require more or less the same PH. :?
