This species, usually discussed under the name A. sp. Wangenflecken (Cheek-spots), has been in the hobby for over 30 years. It originally was pictured/discussed as A. resticulosa, which it is not. Most dwarf cichlid books have photos and discuss the species. It is a clear/whitewater species from the Ihla de Marajó, a large island at the mouth of the Amazon. It is a relatively easy fish to reproduce. Water values aren't that important as long as extremes are avoided. It isn't as common in the commercial trade as it once was.

Thank you for your reply.
I'll try to find books on dwarf cichlids from South America but it is extremely difficult to find in France.
We have very little information on the subject :(

Thanks !
