I couldn't help but notice that the specimen in the first photo has a somewhat deformed snout. If you plan on spawning them someday, try not to permit the deform snouted individual to reproduce. This species is quite inbred in captivity, since no wild caught material, to the best of my knowledge, has come out of the wild in many, many years.
Also, they can easily be maintained in hard water, but will not spawn until they are maintained in soft water.
