Biotope Ideas?

Hi, soon I may be getting a Jewel 240 or 300, and id like to do a african swamp or river biotope, preferably with some sort of cichlid as the feature fish along with dithers and some sort of Catfish. (If possible)
anyone with any sp info or parts of a certain river I could replicate, post your ideas and I'l try to make it, doesnt matter if theres only one or two species in the tank just as long as there interesting.
P.S im trying to stay away from any hard water sp cause my tap waters around neutral and pretty soft. So its either good or bad depending on your taste.

Hmm, if you like west african cichlids you could go for a pair of kribs and/or blockheads. They mix well with synodontis catfish, Congo Tetras, African Longfin Tetras and African Red eye tetras.
