Wonderful, thank you!

The Hemichromis of Lake Turkana is was considered conspecific with H. letourneuxi in the last revision of the genus, but lately the name H. exul as been somewhat en passant revalidated for it . The isolated occurence and remarkable coloration may support it's separate status, but as yet t is extremely difficult to delimit species within what may called the Hemichromis guttatus/letourneuxi complex.

The Haplochromis is not identifiable. Only three have been described from the lake so far, but there may be more. Judging from the descriptions (Greenwood 1974) I would rule out that it is H. rudolfianus or H. macconnelli, but the description for H. turkanae may fit. Unfortunately it was based only on adult males, the life and especially breeding colors of which were not recorded, so it is impossible to say with certainty without examining specimens.

The other two species seen in the video are Oreochromis niloticus vulcani and Coptodon zillii.
