This we feel is quite an achievement and wanted to celebrate with you. We are very happy that we can provide you, our supporter, with this never-before-available service! The pictures in the CRC catalogue, as you know, are not just any odd snapshots; most of them were taken in the natural habitat and all of them are of the best quality available for any given fish, and most were taken by the best cichlid photographers in the world. In some cases we have pictures of species not illustrated anywhere else and in many more we were the first to illustrate obscure species. Besides all this, our catalog is the most trusted cichlid identification resource available in the world, as so far 90% of our pictures have been certified to illustrate the correct species by some of the world’s top authorities in cichlids.

We have a new cichlid trade system for the Cichlid Room Companion. It has now gone through a pre-operational testing phase with very good results and I have just released it to the public. It has been developed as a new utility for subscribers and sponsors (but fellows and curators may use it too). You can now advertise your cichlids for sale or those you want to find to buy. All you have to do is register in the Cichlid Room Companion trade system. The cichlid trade system works in conjunction with the catalog. Up to ten simultaneous ads with a life of fifteen days can be kept active at any time. Listings can be consulted via a master list Master List) or in each of the cichlid species profiles, where they will show as a tab when trade offers are available for them. There is also a RSS feed for the trade offers master list. Traders establish where they live and where they ship to. Contact with the buyer/seller is safe as the e-mail addresses are not disclosed.

You can now sign up the system (even if you are not offering anything) from the Master List. I hope this new utility can be of use to interested people.
