Pam Chin has been replying to cichlid questions for over twenty years. Highly respected and experienced aquarist, Pam has visited cichlid habitats around the world, and bred in her's and her husband Gary fish house hundreds of cichlid species. Besides her job, she still devotes time to help any person with a cichlid question!
Tonny Brandt Andersen had his first aquarium in 1977, and from 1978 on his hobby has mainly been focused on cichlids of the genus Apistogramma, although he is interested in all cichlid species. Tonny has kept cichlids from India, Madagascar, Malawi, Tanganyika, West Africa, Central America and South America. No matter what he keeps he always find it interesting to keep other fishes from the same area together with his cichlids.
In 1986 Tonny became a member of the Danish Cichlid Association, and in 1989 he was helping with their magazine and had become a member of Copenhagen Aquarium Association, where he is now the chairman.
Tonny gives lectures and makes a lot of articles. Since 1995, Tonny is the editor of Akvariebladet (the largest aquarium magazine in Scandinavia, with readers in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Germany). Akvariebladet (Aquarium magazine) has just started a homepage www.akvariebladet.dk where Tonny is as well the editor.
Another hobby of Tonny is taking photos, both of aquarium fish and nature. He has traveled to South America 3 times. First time was with Alf Stalsberg (from Norway) to Ecuador and Colombia in 1993. Next time he was traveling alone to Brazil (Iguassu, Belém, Santarém and Manaus) that was in September 1994 and his last travel was in 1996 to Uruguay. Tonny is hoping to travel soon again. He always enjoys to see other things (not just fish). Therefore, he would like to travel to Peru because of the Incans and to México because of the Mayans, and of course the very interesting freshwater fish.
