Which Brichardi?

Postby unblinded » Fri May 06, 2011 4:44 pm

Pam, I finally found some variabilichromis moorii! Now, since you're such a fan of the brichardi types, which would you recommend? I've got my eye on these, not necessarily in any order. Neo falcicula, neo cygnus, neo marunguensis, neo helianthus, neo gracilis. Maybe you've got one that is not on this list you'd recommend. I'm not really interested in breeding them, they'll be in a mixed tang community with my moorii & some julies. I recently saw the marunguensis in person & I was impressed.

Thanks a mil.

Hi Jason!

Congrats on finding V. moorii!! They are certainly fun to work with!!!

I am not a good one to ask about which Brichardi type you should work with! I can't make my mind up at all!! But it sounds like marunguensis has caught your eye! All I can say is excellent choice! It is one of the few brichardi types that does not have a cheek mark, and the fin extentions are bright white, it is quite striking.

It may come down to what is available, but I think you will be happy with any of the ones you have chosen.
