I have a 20gal long tank with just a colony of 8 Neolamprologus multifasciatus of different sizes that have been in there together for almost 3 1/2 months now. No breeding yet and I am starting to get anxious. I'm not sure if doing these 2 things have been mistakes: 1) I do a 25% water change weekly which is not harmful, but every 2 weeks I do it siphoning the substrate carefully to remove some wastes. What do you think about this? 2) Once a month I turn each of the 27 shells upside down and rotate them smoothly without taking them out of the water, to remove accumulated wastes that could be inside them. What do you think about this?
So now, I feel frustrated and thinking that maybe I have disturbed their home too much . If that is the case, what can I do to induce them to breed? Or, should I be more patient? Thanks in advance for all your help!
