Trying to get ID

Hi there -- we have had the Cichlid's for over a year now -- I believe they are South American and they keeping laying eggs, the egg hatch and then they eat the fry. I am trying to figure out if they are mouth brooders, or what they are. I hope the picture comes out well.

Unfortunately I can't tell what kind of cichlid that is, but it does appear to maybe be some type of new world cichlid, so maybe South American? But can't say for sure.... sorry
