yellow with black stripes

I know Im probably driving you crazy now, but I have one more question...we just bought the yellow ciclid w/ black stripes and he hangs around the heaters or in the caves and just stays away from all of the other fish. He only comes out to eat. Is this normal? Sorry, I dont know what his name is, hes very bright yellow with dark black stripes going from head to tail. Thankyou!

Dantonio,

Ahhh, this is the Melanochromis auatus.... just hang on, because he is just getting used to the tank. Pretty soon the boys will be calling him Rambo, as he is quite the chaser, and a bit aggressive. But hopefully the size of your tank will mellow him out somewhat. I don't recommend this species for community tanks because of their aggression. So keep an eye one him. If he gets too rough, he may have to go back as trade in.
