Hello fish for a 15 gallon tank...

Hello Pam!

I acquired a new tank and its size is 15 gallons. Can you give me some list of african cichlids for the 15 gallon tank??? I dont want aggressive cichlids that i had before. I got tired with their aggressiveness and soon producing plent of corpses...

In the site, www. cichlid-forum.com, they told me that i can keep shellies with a 15 gallon tank. The problem is i cant find any shellies in our place and most of the fish sold in our place are african cichlids....

what can you recommend for me???

Hi Ichigo,

Cichlid aggression is very common and especially when you have them in tanks that are too small. There are only a very few fish that would I recommend for a 15 gal tank. Google these names so you can become more familar with them. But it is slim pickens out there for cichlids that will do well in that small of a tank. If you really want to do cichlids right, you need to get a much larger tank, I think a 55 gal tank is about the minimum. Here are a few suggestions that might work... See if you can find a fish club in your area.
